Introduction
Its March 25, 1983 and there is a celebration of Motown being televised named Motown 25:Yesterday, Today, Forever. Dressed in his signature black trousers, silver socks, silver shirt, black-sequined jacket, sequined glove, and black fedora, Jackson spun around, posed, and began moonwalking. Music critic Ian Inglis later wrote that Jackson encapsulated a long tradition of African-American dance movements in that one performance. The moonwalk became Jackson’s signature move for his song “Billie Jean”. Nelson George said that Jackson’s rendition “combined Jackie Wilson’s athleticism with James Brown’s camel walk”. PsySign Summary
Rays are true artists. They use aesthetics, design and even their choices and actions to push the limits of social convention. ISFPs enjoy upsetting traditional expectations with experiments in beauty and behavior – chances are, they’ve expressed more than once the phrase “Don’t box me in!”
Rays live in a colorful, sensual world, inspired by connections with people and ideas. ISFP personalities take joy in reinterpreting these connections, reinventing and experimenting with both themselves and new perspectives. No other type explores and experiments in this way more. This creates a sense of spontaneity, making ISFPs seem unpredictable, even to their close friends and loved ones. (16personalities.com)
More About Rays
Mobula rays make a habit of leaping out of the ocean in amazing acrobatic form, particularly when they gather in groups. This behaviour is still poorly understood by scientists, but possible reasons include communication, courtship, feeding, and even a behaviour to remove parasites. These long, flat, and streamlined rays with their wing- like fins, leap dramatically to heights of more than 2 metres (about 6.6 feet) above the ocean. (osof.org)
Rays or batoids are close relatives sharks and are the largest group of cartilaginous fishes, with well over 600 species in 26 families. Rays are distinguished by their flattened bodies, enlarged pectoral fins that are fused to the head, and gill slits that are placed on their ventral surfaces.
Energy Signature – Fi, Se, Ni, Te
Rays lead with internal feeling which can be intense but not necessarily expressed. The second function is external sensing which delights in sensory experiences. Internal intuition and external thinking follow. The cognitive functions of the ISFP are as follows:
- Dominant: Introverted feeling (Fi) …
- Auxiliary: Extraverted Sensing (Se) …
- Tertiary: Introverted intuition (Ni) …
- Inferior: Extraverted thinking (Te)
Relationships
Although two well-developed individuals of any type can enjoy a healthy relationship, the Rays (ISFP’s) natural partner is the Retriever (ESFJ), or the Crane (ENFJ). The Ray’s dominant function of Introverted Feeling is best matched with a partner whose dominant function is Extraverted Feeling. (personalitypage.com)
