Introduction

While riding home on a streetcar in Bern, a young man saw the clock tower passing behind him and wondered how the time on the clock would appear as the streetcar moved faster and faster. He theorized that If the car moved at the speed of light, the tower’s clock would appear fixed to someone in the car. The clock’s light could not catch up to the streetcar, but the car’s clock would beat normally to the person inside.

As Albert Einstein would later recall, “A storm broke loose in my mind,” He returned to his friend Besso’s home the next day and stated: “Thank you, I’ve completely solved the problem.” This concept would later become known as special relativity.

Psysign Summary

Noctua or Eagles of the night are highly intelligent birds are often caught up, sometimes absent mindedly, in the world of ideas and theories. They are inventive thinkers, engineers and designers who are able to make connections where few can.

More about the actual animal

All owls are carnivorous birds of prey and live mainly on a diet of insects and small rodents such as mice, rats and hares. Some owls hunt fish. They are very adept in hunting in their respective environments. Since owls can be found in nearly all parts of the world and across a multitude of ecosystems, their hunting skills and characteristics vary slightly from species to species, though most characteristics are shared among all species.

Most owls share an innate ability to fly almost silently and also more slowly in comparison to other birds of prey.

Most owls live a mainly nocturnal lifestyle and being able to fly without making any noise gives them a strong advantage over their prey that are listening for any sign of noise in the dark night.  With large light gathering retinas, they can virtually see in the dark and have nocturnal eyesight to be far superior to that of its average prey.

While the auditory and visual capabilities of the owl allow it to locate and pursue its prey, the talons and beak of the owl do the final work. The owl kills its prey by using these talons to crush the skull and knead the body.

The Functions – Ti, Ne, Si, Fe

The dominant function of the INTP is Introverted Thinking. This function is supported closely and importantly by the auxiliary function of Extraverted Intuition. Extraverted Intuition perceives the world and sends information into the psyche, where it is processed by Introverted Thinking.

Careers

INTPs are first and foremost thinkers, and this quality can be seen in their choice of careers. Although INTPs can be found in a wide variety of fields, a happy and satisfied INTP is invariably found in a career that allows them to use their intellect, analyze concepts, and think deeply.

  • Computer Software Developers
  • Web Developers
  • Engineers
  • Scientists
  • Financial Analysts

Relationships

Owls, who lead with internal thinking are best matched with partners who have strong external (extroverted) thinking (Eagles/ENTJ).
