Beavers are a large semiaquatic rodent. They are known to make homes (lodges) out of dams, and canals. In which provide a still deep water protection from predators. They have poor eyesight but make up for it with their keen hearing, strong sense of smell, and touch. Beavers are known to be a keystone species in an ecosystem because they help create wetlands, which are used by many of other species of animals.
